The best prevention of illness is WASHING HANDS

You get germs from many sources and then infect yourself by touching your eyes, nose or mouth. You then infect others by touching surfaces that others will touch- and soon everyone in your household is sick!

There are so many illnesses that could be prevented if everyone had good handwashing habits...

So when should you wash your hands?
OFTEN!!

-Especially before, during and after you prepare food

-Before you eat

-After you use the bathroom

-After handling animals

-When your hands are dirty

-MORE often when your family or someone in your home is sick


What is the best way to wash your hands?

-First wet your hands and apply liquid or clean bar soap. Place the bar soap on a rack and allow it to drain

-Continue for 10-15 seconds. It is the soap combined with the scrubbing action that helps dislodge and remove germs.

-Rinse well and dry your hands!
