Dr. Long received his Bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University and his Medical degree from the University of Kentucky School of Medicine. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital where he was chief resident. Four times, he has been the recipient of the prestigious James C. Overall Award from the Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt University. Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Long is a diplomat of the American Pediatric Society and fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He also is a member of the Davidson County Pediatric Society and Medical Society as well as the Nashville Academy of Medicine, the Tennessee Pediatric Society and Tennessee Medical Association. A native of Louisville, Dr. Long has been active in community organizations, including the Davidson County American Cancer Society and the Robertson Association. He is married and has three children and joined Old Harding Pediatric Associates in 1977.
Dr. Vosberg earned her Bachelor's degree in 1981 at the University of Notre Dame and her Medical degree from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in 1985. She completed her internship in the Department of Pediatrics at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in 1986, and residency in the Department of Pediatrics at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in 1988 where she was chief resident in 1989. Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Vosberg is also a member of the Davidson County Pediatric Association, the Tennessee Medical Association, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a clinical instructor at Vanderbilt. Dr. Vosberg is married and has two sons. They enjoy boating as a family. She joined Old Harding Pediatric Associates in 1991.
Dr. Heil received his Bachelor's degree in biology from Stanford University and his Medical degree from Vanderbilt University where he completed his residency and served as chief resident. Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Heil is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Christian Medical Dental Association. He received the Amos Christie Award for Excellence in Pediatrics, the Housestaff Clinical Teaching Award and membership in Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr Heil has a special interest in internationally adopted patients and serves on the advisory committee for the International Adoption Clinic at Vanderbilt. He also teaches Pediatric Advanced Life Support courses through Vanderbilt. A native of Iowa, Dr. Heil is married and has four children. He joined Old Harding Pediatric Associates in 1992. He enjoys hiking and Scouting.
Dr. Alsentzer received her Bachelor's degree as a Harold Sterling Honor Scholar in nursing from Vanderbilt University in 1983 and her Medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1987 where she graduated AOA. She completed an pediatric residency at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in 1990. She served as director of the Vanderbilt Pediatric Clinic Acute Clinic until 1993. Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Alsentzer also holds certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a member of the Davidson County Pediatric Association, Philadelphia Pediatric Society, and the Nashville Academy of Medicine. She is also an assistant professor at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. A volunteer preceptor for nurse practitioner students, Dr. Alsentzer has also taught in a national medical pediatric board review course. She has also coordinated the pediatric program for Trevecca's physician assistant program. She is the recipient of the prestigious Janet M. Glaucoma Memorial Award. A native of Virginia, she is married and has three children. She enjoys smocking and computers. She joined Old Harding Pediatric Associates in 1993.
Dr. Linda Brady received her undergraduate degree in mathematics in 1988, and her Medical Degree from Vanderbilt University in 1992 where she also did her residency and was chief resident. She completed an internship in pediatrics at Greenville Memorial Hospital, Greenville, S.C. Board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics, she is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Nashville Academy of Medicine, Tennessee Medical Association, and the American Christie Society. She also serves as a clinical professor at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. Brady is a native of Memphis and joined Old Harding Pediatric Associates in 1996.
Dr. Chris Smeltzer received a Bachelor's degree from Baylor University and his Medical degree from Vanderbilt University. He also completed his residency at Vanderbilt University where he was Chief Resident of Pediatrics. While at Vanderbilt, Dr. Smeltzer received the prestigious Joe M. Strayhorn Award, as well as the Robert C. Boerth Award. Dr. Smeltzer is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Amos Christie Society. Dr. Smeltzer begins his official pediatric practice with Old Harding Pediatrics in July, 1997. As a participant in Vanderbilt's Community Continuity Clinic Program, Dr. Smeltzer has trained and worked closely with the physicians in the Old Harding Road Office since 1994. A native of Texas, he is married and has two children. Dr. Smeltzer enjoys woodworking, camping, and racquetball.
Dr. Chris Patton received his Bachelor's degree from New College of the University of South Florida and his Medical Degree from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in 1994. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. After completing pediatrics he spent an extra year of training in dermatology at Vanderbilt University. Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Patton also holds certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Tennessee Pediatrics Society and Tennessee Medical Association. He has been the recipient of the prestigious Robert C. Boerth Award, David Karzon Award and the Excellent in Student Teaching Award in pediatrics. A native of Nashville, he is married and has three children. Dr. Patton enjoys swimming, hiking, and mountain biking. He joined Old Harding Pediatric Associates in 1998.
Dr. Ragsdale received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame and her Medical Degree from the University of Tennessee, Memphis in 1997. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Tennessee, Memphis in June of 2000. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Ragsdale is a Board Certified Pediatrician and joined Old Harding Pediatrics in 2000. She is a native of Nashville and enjoys football, traveling, and aerobics. Dr. Ragsdale is married and is the mother of four boys.
Dr. Betts received his Bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University in Engineering and Mathematics and his medical degree from University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed his Residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in June 2003. Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Betts has been working with physicians at Old Harding Pediatrics since July 2001, but became a permanent part of the practice in July 2003. Dr. Betts is married with three children and enjoys running, soccer, mountain biking, church and family time.
Dr. Long received his undergraduate degree at Duke University and medical degree from Vanderbilt University. He completed his residency in 2005 at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. He has received the prestigious Amos Christi Award, the Vanderbilt Hospital Award for Excellence and the Canby Robison Society Ideal Physician Award. Dr. Long is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and joined OHPA in July of 2005. He is married with two children and enjoys playing guitar, reading classics and running.
Dr. Keffer received his medical degree at the University of Alabama and completed his residency at the University of Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. Dr. Keffer practiced both Pediatrics and Internal Medicine the past 2 years at Vanderbilt Medical Group. He joined Old Harding Pediatrics in July of 2008. Dr. Keffer is married with 3 children. |
